The advent calendars at advent.jenbuiltit.com are run by Jen Built It LLC, 10800 S Lloyd Drive, Worth, IL 60482, USA. This page explains what happens to your information when you open them. The short version: you don't make an account, we don't ask for your email, and we don't sell anything about you.
What we collect
Nothing you type in. Opening doors needs no account, no name and no email.
Your stamp card stays in your browser. When you open a door, the calendar saves which doors you've opened in your browser's local storage, under a key named like advent:jen-built-it:2026. It's a list of door numbers and nothing else. It never leaves your device, we can't see it, and clearing your browser data erases it.
Server logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, receives the standard details any website gets when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for. We use them only to keep the site running and safe from abuse, and we don't use them to identify you.
Cookies
The calendars set no cookies.
Other companies the pages talk to
- Cloudflare hosts the site and its database (Cloudflare Workers and Cloudflare D1). The database holds the calendar doors, not anything about visitors.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page visits so we can see how many people open the calendars. It uses no cookies and doesn't identify you or follow you to other sites.
- Google Fonts serves the fonts. Your browser asks Google for them, which shares your IP address with Google.
- Google Calendar, only if you tap the Google Calendar reminder button. That opens Google's own site, and Google's privacy policy applies there.
Some doors link to other websites. Once you leave this site, that site's privacy policy applies.
Links in the doors
Some doors link to my own products, and those are marked as mine. Some links are affiliate links, and those are clearly labeled. If you buy through one, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Doors paid for by a brand are marked as ads at the top of the door.
Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. The advent calendars don't use advertising or tracking tools that follow you across other websites, so they work the same whether or not your browser sends that signal. We don't let any third party collect information about your activity here to track you across other sites over time.
Children
The advent calendars aren't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them.
Your rights
We don't hold personal data about visitors, so there's nothing to request, correct or delete on our side. Your stamp card lives in your own browser, and you can delete it any time by clearing this site's data. If you have a question about your privacy, email privacy@jenbuiltit.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date at the top.
